Health insurance giant UnitedHealth Group's 2024 U.S.-booked air travel spend declined slightly year over year, according to a BTN estimate.
The company's business travel in 2024 generated more than 76,600 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions, down from about 96,200 the year prior.
UHG's 2024 revenue increased 8 percent year over year to nearly $400.3 billion. The company had about 400,000 employees at the end of 2024, down from 440,000 one year prior, and in some units has declined further in 2025.
