air spending in 2024 at biomedical and
biotech engineering firm Boston Scientific
increased by more than 15 percent year over year, with additional
growth likely in 2025.
Boston
Scientific in 2025 has rolled out a new travel, meetings
and expense policy, which includes new global requirements for pre-trip
approval, to be conducted through Concur's Request feature, and the codification of
premium economy class for air trips of at least six hours.
The
company's travel volume increased,
but it still sought
to reduce travel costs by finding efficiencies. Boston
Scientific in 2024 conducted requests for proposals
for air and hotel suppliers.
BCD Travel
provides travel management services for a majority of Boston
Scientific's travel outside of the U.S., with a
small share handled by others.
