The Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints completed a
global air RFP in 2024, when Southwest
Airlines replaced American Airlines as one of its top
three U.S. air suppliers. The Church
also introduced automation into its processes, a
strategy that continued into 2025. It
aims to make
New Distribution Capability content available to bookers in
the next couple of years.
U.S.-based
air spend continued to grow
steadily in 2024, up to $70 million from $62 million
and $53.5 million the year before. Two-thirds of
travel in 2024 was
domestic. Spend
is projected to increase again in 2025 to $75 million.
The Church
has 17.5
million
members worldwide, with
74,000 missionaries serving
in 450 different missions.
