BTN estimates that U.S.-booked
air volume rose at Wells Fargo in 2024. The financial
services company reduced total expenses from $58 billion
to $55 billion between 2019
and 2014, during which period headcount fell
from 272,000 to 218,000. Net income
rose to $19.7 billion
in 2024 from $19.1 billion
the year before.
In July 2025, Reuters reported
that Wells Fargo had suspended all travel to China after one
of its bankers
was blocked from leaving the country.
