Consolidated U.S. TMC: BCD
BTN estimates that U.S.-booked

pharmaceuticals company Pfizer rose substantially
last year but remained
well below the figure of $95.2 million
the pharmaceutical company reported for 2019.
Pfizer’s carbon
reduction plan, published in the U.K.
in January 2025,
reasserted a long-standing commitment
to achieving the voluntary Net

reduction by 2025 in greenhouse
emissions associated with business travel against a
2019
baseline.
The global business’
2024 Impact Report,
published in June 2025,
stated: “Travel-related
GHG emissions were 55 percent lower than the
2019 baseline. We have implemented tools to help business travelers make
informed decisions about travel options. This includes using digital tools to
limit travel and using preferred carriers that are advancing GHG reduction
targets.”
According to the report,
the 2019 baseline for business travel emissions
was 421,000 metric tons
of CO2 equivalent. Emissions for
2024 were 188,000
tons, a slight increase on the 2023 total of 186,000 tons.
The report noted that “air
travel emissions for all years, including the 2019 baseline, have been adjusted
to include well-to-wheel emissions.”
Pfizer has in excess of 80,000 employees.
Revenue in 2024 grew
