Defense contractor and aerospace conglomerate Northrop
Grumman's U.S.-booked air volume in 2024 increased to $109 million
from BTN's estimated $105 million in
2023. The company focused on digital automation transformation throughout 2024,
converting forms and processes to streamline employee booking and expense
experiences. For 2025, Northrop Grumman
plans to continue using automation to simplify travel operations for its
workforce.
Northrop
Grumman had strong online
booking adoption in 2024, with 93 percent of U.S.-booked air tickets processed
through its preferred SAP Concur platform and 70 percent completed without
agent support. The company operates
under a single global travel policy and returned to office-based work last
year. Business travel spending also has
recovered to pre-pandemic
levels, and the company expects to begin accessing NDC content within the next
couple of years.
The
defense contractor reported 2024 net
sales of $41
billion, up from $39.3
billion the year prior. The
company employed approximately 97,000 people
globally at the end of 2024.
