Morgan
Stanley's U.S.-booked air volume grew to
$100 million in 2024, according to a
BTN estimate. The
company reported net revenue of $61.8 billion in
2024, representing
a 14 percent increase from the previous
year.
The
multinational finance company maintained
its global workforce of more than 80,000 employees
across 42 countries throughout 2024, supporting continued international
business activities that drive travel demand.
The
firm’s business travel emissions nearly doubled in 2023 to 96,031 metric tons of CO2
equivalent, up from 57,057 in 2022 and approaching
pre-pandemic levels of 99,700 in 2019. In early 2025, Morgan Stanley exited the
UN-backed Net Zero Banking Alliance but reaffirmed its goal of net-zero
financed emissions by 2050.
