Bank of America's 2024 travel program recorded $97
million in U.S.-booked air volume, reflecting steady corporate travel growth
across its 213,000 global employees. The
Charlotte-based financial institution, which reported over $100 billion in
revenue in 2024, continued to lead in sustainable business travel through
investments in sustainable aviation fuel and emissions reduction efforts.
In
2024, the bank streamlined
preferred airline partnerships and consolidated
car rental vendors to just three suppliers. Bank of America also prepared to
transition to Neo as its primary booking platform in Q1 of 2025, moving away
from legacy tools to improve the traveler experience.
The company also contracted with HQ
for ground transportation services.
Bank of America’s commitment to sustainable travel was
recognized in 2024, when it won the Business Travel Sustainability Awards
Americas 2024 for Achievement in Sustainability: Managed Travel Program. This
recognition complements the bank’s ongoing SAF initiatives—including its
participation in the Shell‑Amex GBT SAF program—as part of its goal of using
SAF for at least 20 percent of its annual
jet fuel consumption by 2030 and supporting the production of one billion
gallons of SAF by that year.
