Consolidated Global TMC: BCD
BTN estimates the telecommunications and media conglomerate Comcast increased its U.S.-booked air spend to $100 million in 2024, up from $95 million in 2023, as business travel continued its post-pandemic recovery. The company reported revenue of $123.7 billion in 2024, a 1.8 percent increase from 2023. Employee count decreased to 182,000 globally as of Dec. 31, 2024, from 186,000 the previous year.
In November 2024, Comcast announced plans to spin off NBCUniversal’s cable networks—including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel—into a separate publicly traded company.
The company’s most recently reported data shows its business travel generated 173,000 metric tons of CO2 equivalent in 2023, up from 158,000 in 2022 but still below the 264,000 reported in 2019.
