The Active Network Business Solutions division separated from its parent and merged with hotel technology provider Lanyon,

according to the organizations. Private equity firm Vista Equity Partners owns both companies, having bought Lanyon in January 2013 and Active Network in November. The merged company, which will operate under the name Lanyon, will provide meeting and travel buyers with "a comprehensive suite of solutions for meetings and events management, as well as hotel spend," according to Lanyon. Former Active executive JR Sherman joined Lanyon as president and chief revenue officer, and former Active executive Anthony Miller joined Lanyon as senior vice president of strategy and product management.
