Virgin Atlantic on April 1, 2014, will begin charging long-haul economy passengers a £25 per-segment fee to reserve seats.
The new charge will roll out "on a route by route basis," starting with the carrier's London-Las Vegas route, "with the exception of our Tokyo route, which will remain free of charge," according to the airline's website.
