Seeking FAA approval
earlier this year, Airbus
acknowledged that "the proposed
configuration" did not comply with some FAA requirements, which in part
state that "no door may be installed in any partition between passenger
compartments.” JetBlue confirmed the FAA exemption allows it to proceed with
its proposed premium product, expected to launch on select routes next year.
