Oneworld claimed to be the first global airline partnership "to enable corporate customers to complete contracts electronically"
--saving up to "US$1,000" in postal costs. Oneworld enlisted electronic signature company DocuSign, which already provides support for American Airlines' sales contracts, according to the alliance. Oneworld said mining company Rio Tinto became the first customer to complete a deal using the new system by collecting electronic signatures from its procurement office in Brisbane, its travel purchasing department in Paris and oneworld sales executives around the globe.
