EasyJet by the end of November plans to launch allocated seating across its network.
EasyJet would charge £12 for first- and exit-row seats and £8 for seats in rows 2 through 5 on its Airbus A319s and rows 2 through 6 on A320s. Those passengers "will be given access to the Speedy Boarding dedicated check-in desk and will be first to board," according to the carrier. While EasyJet plans to charge £3 for all other seat assignments made by passengers, the carrier will automatically assign seats to remaining passengers at check-in.
