Delta and Continental raised domestic checked baggage fees to $23 for the first item and $32 for the second, according to their Web sites
, up from $15 and $25. The carriers also will levy surcharges of $2 for the first bag and $3 for the second when they are processed at the airport rather than prepaid online. The new fees apply to travel within, to and from the United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada and Puerto Rico.
