Delta Air Lines reported a $19 million net profit for 2010's fourth quarter and a full-year profit of $593 million
, compared with a $25 million fourth-quarter loss in 2009, which contributed to a full-year $1.2 billion 2009 loss. Passenger revenue per available seat mile grew 8 percent during the quarter, driven by a 9 percent increase in yield, which represents the average price passengers paid to fly one mile. President Ed Bastian on Monday said the business travel segment "continues to show momentum," adding that overall corporate volumes in 2010 were "in line with levels we saw in 2007 and 2008."
