Avis Rent A Car System began offering Internet connectivity to car rental customers through wireless devices

that can be used anywhere during a traveler's trip. Portable "Avis Connect" units now are available with rentals at San Francisco International Airport, to be followed by availability in another 12 major U.S. airport markets by the third quarter. The units, which can provide Internet access to multiple Wi-Fi enabled devices, cost $10.95 per day.
