American Airlines announced seven new routes from its hub at Los Angeles International Airport, including services to Indianapolis and Pittsburgh,
starting Aug. 27. The airline on that date also will initiate service between LAX and Hartford, Conn.; Columbus, Ohio; and Bentonville, Ark. AA on June 12 will launch flights between LAX and both Eugene and Redmond, Ore. The airline on April 2 began flying nonstop between LAX and Raleigh/Durham, N.C. Pending government approval, AA on Nov. 21 also intends to begin nonstop flights to São Paulo, which would bring to 51 the number of domestic and international destinations it serves from LAX.
