American Airlines and US Airways announced the "first phase" of code sharing will take effect for flights from Jan. 23.
It will include hub-to-hub routes, East
Coast shuttle flights and "select" international services. "The
two airlines are expected to extend the codeshare to include all flights within
the combined network in the coming weeks," according to the merger
partners.
