Alaska Airlines on Oct. 30 will raise fees for economy passengers to check bags and make ticket changes,

the carrier announced. Ticket changes will increase to $125 within 60 days of departure, up from the current $75. "Unlimited changes will be allowed for no change fee up until 60 days prior to ticketed flight departure," according to the airline’s revised policy. The cost to check a first and second bag each will increase to $25 from the current $20. Higher-tier frequent flyers and first-class passengers generally are excluded from those fees.
