Alaska Airlines in April was the most punctual major U.S. airline with an on-time performance ratio of 86.9 percent,
according to FlightStats. Among the eight largest carriers, Delta followed at 85.2 percent while JetBlue ranked last at 71.5 percent. Among all North American airlines, Hawaiian had the best on-time performance during April (91.3 percent), followed by Alaska subsidiary Horizon (91 percent). Frontier ranked at the bottom at 69.2 percent. In terms of cancellations, American Airlines regional affiliate American Eagle had the largest ratio during the month, 5.3 percent. Vancouver landed at the top of North America airport rankings, with an on-time performance ratio of 88.6 percent, followed by Salt Lake City (87.6 percent), according to FlightStats data. Plagued by severe winter weather during the month, Chicago O'Hare ranked last at 70 percent and suffered the highest cancellation rate (5.8 percent).
