NBTA created and filled three "executive-level" positions related to technology, finance and research.

The National Business Travel Association named former Hudson Crossing partner and Lodging.com executive Edward Silver as the association's and NBTA Foundation's chief technology officer. Former American Industrial Hygiene Association executive Diane Young will become vice president of finance and controller, responsible for "growing NBTA finance and accounting processes and resources." Former Consumer Electronics Association research director Joseph Bates becomes NBTA's director of research and project management.
