Cendant Corp. named software executive Jeff Clarke

president and CEO of its Travel Distribution Services division, which it renamed Travelportahead of a spin-off later this year. Since 1985, Clarke served in several roles at Digital Equipment Corp., Compaq and most recently as COO at Computer Associates. He joins new chairman Gordon Bethune atop TDS, which encompasses Galileo, Orbitz, the Travelport corporate travel management system and several other brands.
