American Express Company increased its fourth-quarter profit by 23 percent year over year to $925 million
on 13 percent higher revenues. The International Card & Global Commercial Services division reported 1 percent lower net income despite a 6 percent increase in revenues. Travel commissions and fees rose 3 percent to $450 million.
