Rising jet fuel costs caused JetBlue to cancel planned service from Los Angeles International
airport. "Launching this service as planned would have forced us to raise our fares beyond what we believe you are willing to pay. And that's not fair," the airline wrote in a letter to travelers. JetBlue said it would add a handful of new flights from Burbank and Long Beach airports.
