Bischofsince 2006 has been heading up the carrier's sales efforts in the Americas. He will replace Thierry Antinori, who was named chairman of the executive board of Austrian Airlines, a unit within the Lufthansa Group. Bischof also will become part of the Lufthansa German Airlines board, effective April 1, 2011.
