British Airways will relocate all domestic, most intra-European and some intercontinental operations at London Heathrow Airport to the new Terminal 5
. Describing the transition as "the biggest airport move in U.K. aviation history," BA said the airport would operate at full capacity on both 26 and 27 March. "Putting up the 'closed for business' sign is not an option," said CEO Willie Walsh. The second phase of the carrier's relocation is scheduled for 29 April and will affect remaining intercontinental flights. BA encourages travelers to check ahead to confirm terminal information.
