Air France and U.K. carrier Flybe on Tuesday
announced a codeshare agreement that the two carriers plan to implement by the
end of October.
The deal would offer Flybe passengers access to five new routes between the
U.K. and France, seven domestic routes within France and 11 international
routes. Air France, meanwhile, said its customers would gain "access to 45 new
routes from France to the U.K., as well as seamless connections through
Birmingham, Manchester and Southampton on a further 17 U.K. domestic
routes."
"Air France is glad to announce a
partnership with the U.K.'s number-one domestic airline," said Air France
chief commercial officer Bruno Matheu in a statement today. "Over the past
few years, we have watched with great interest Flybe's growth and development
and have been impressed by its performance in becoming a respected leader
within the sector."
