Sabre announced that US Airways signed a
"multi-year" full-content agreement, including distribution of the
carrier's Choice Seats option.
A Sabre official on short notice was not available to
provide the length of the deal or timing on Choice Seats availability through
Sabre-connected travel agencies.
Travelers opting for US Airways Choice Seats pay an extra
fee for favorable seat assignments in coach cabins.
The pre-existing Sabre-US Airways distribution deal was set
to expire this year. Also currently scheduled to expire this year are Sabre's deals with Alaska Airlines, American Airlines and United subsidiary Continental
Airlines.
