Lufthansa on Feb. 1 will expand to North America a service that blends commercial flights with private jet service operated by NetJets.

"Travel can be booked through Lufthansa and in seamless combination with transatlantic flights arriving or departing from the 21 North America destinations serviced by Lufthansa and Swiss or for direct point-to-point travel within the North America coverage area," according to Lufthansa. The carrier launched the program in 2005 as a Europe-only offering.
