Scandinavian Airlines Systems has agreed to purchase up to 40 Airbus widebody aircraft, the carrier announced Tuesday.
With a list price of more than $10 billion, the deal is the "largest investment in the company's history," according to SAS.
The order will be composed of Airbus A330-900neo aircraft with three cabins and up 287 to 303 seats, and A330-300 aircraft with three cabins and 250 to 290 seats, according to SAS. The new planes will "support SAS' future long-haul operations, while additional capacity secured for the coming years will support continued network development and demand growth."
