American Airlines and Qantas Airways will add service between the United States and Australia.
AA will begin daily nonstop service between Los Angeles and Sydney on Dec. 17, and Qantas will launch service between Sydney and San Francisco on Dec. 20, first on peak days and increasing to six times per week in January 2016. The carriers are joint business partners and Oneworld alliance members.
