The U.S. General Services Administration plans to reduce from more than 200 pages to less than 100 the Federal Travel Regulations document,
said GSA travel policy program director Lois Mandell during
a Society of Government Travel Professionals event. GSA aims "to
streamline travel policies, increase travel efficiency and effectiveness and
incorporate industry best practices," according to a GSA statement.
Mandell said GSA on Sept. 20-21 in Washington will hold a public meeting to
discuss corporate travel best practices.
