The National Business Travel Association launched a sports travel management task force

to share best practices and explore "specific educational and certification programs in sports travel management and purchasing." NBTA's president and CEO manages athletic travel at the University of Texas. Participants in the committee's first meeting represented Major League Baseball, the National Football League, the National Collegiate Athletic Association and other groups and schools.
