The Association of Corporate Travel Executives plans to separate its Asia-Pacific operation into ACTE Asia and ACTE Australasia.
According to ACTE executive director Ron DiLeo, the change will allow for "more autonomy and a deeper regional perspective." To be officially launched on Dec. 5, ACTE Australasia will focus on Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. According to the association, "membership growth, participation in educational events and forums, business development and overall industry expansion in Australia warranted naming ACTE Australasia a stand-alone region." ACTE Asia will retain a focus on "Singapore, the Greater China Region, India, Japan and the rest of Southeast Asia."
