Reynolds Takes Tech Role At Management Alternatives
Steve Reynolds, former executive vice president of TRX, has joined Norwalk, Conn.-based consulting firm Management Alternatives as vice president of technical solutions, the company announced late last month.
Reynolds began his position on Sept. 25 and said he would apply his extensive background in technology solutions not just to clients, but other Management Alternatives consultants as well. "I also will be working with my own book of clients to assist as needed on a variety of both technical and typical travel management functions, such as requests for proposals, online booking tool and data analysis, vendor negotiations and those sorts of things," Reynolds said.
Most recently, Reynolds served as regional vice president for ACS, a business process outsourcing and IT provider, managing outsourced onshore and offshore operations for multiple airlines and online travel distributors. At TRX, Reynolds' responsibilities included the sales, development, delivery and support of online booking tool ResX and Correx, a mid-office transaction processing application.
Prior to TRX, Reynolds served as a systems architect for Competitive Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of the former Houston-based Lifeco Travel, whose corporate travel solutions included Lifesite, a reporting tool and PDQ, a pre-trip reporting tool. In 1993, American Express acquired Competitive Technologies and Reynolds stayed with the company for two years, supporting solutions for Fortune 1000 companies, before joining the management team that launched TRX.
"After my two years with ACS, I got to a position where I wanted to be a bit more independent and get back into the more mainstream corporate travel industry," Reynolds said of his move to Management Alternatives. "The time just worked out right."
