Only 29 percent of travelers always book their hotel and flight at the same time,
according to a Global Business Travel Association study. Nearly half (45 percent) often do, while 14 percent sometimes book hotel and flight simultaneously. Only 5 percent rarely or never do. Of survey respondents who do not book together, some want to lock in prices for their flights as they finalize plans, and others book their own hotels while travel arrangers book flights. The GBTA study queried both managed and unmanaged business travelers.
