Few companies address in their travel policies traveler security, ancillary fees and mobile apps, according to an American Express Global Business Travel study
of about 100 travel policies of varying sizes. The
analysis indicated that only 12 percent of policies address travel security,
about 20 percent addressed baggage fees and other ancillary charges from
airlines and hotels and no policies addressed mobile apps. American Express
also reported that less than one-third of the companies surveyed had updated
their policies within the past year.
