It's Direct Travel's third travel management company purchase of 2014, following deals for Baltimore-based
Travel Destinations Management Group and Nashville-area
Caldwell Travel. Privately owned Hurley Travel claims annual sales of more than $60 million, with a focus on business travel, corporate meetings, incentive and group travel. Founded in 1993, it operates an office in Naples, Fla., and has been both a BCD Travel and Virtuoso affiliate. In June, Concur named Hurley Travel a preferred TMC partner. According to Direct Travel regional president Sam DeFranco, the acquisition "significantly strengthens our presence in the New England corridor ... complementing our overall mission to focus on the middle market customer."
