Companies are looking for alternatives to public
transportation, particularly in urban areas, as they plan return-to-work
scenarios during the Covid-19 pandemic. With business travel largely sidelined
for now, Uber for Business is looking to fill the worker commuting gap via a partnership
with ServiceNow, a platform focused on developing new solutions to prepare for
workforce and workplace readiness, including apps for contact tracing,
workplace safety management, employee readiness feedback and employee health
screening. Travel managers continue to be tapped for return-to-work strategies
for their companies and to lean on relevant travel partners—often ground
transportation suppliers—for an assist.
