Uber is once again testing self-driving vehicles in
Pittsburgh, nine months after suspending the tests of the vehicles following a
fatal accident. Uber is testing a small number of cars within Pittsburgh's
Strip District that will go no faster than 25 mph, according to The New York
Times. It also plans to test autonomous vehicles in Toronto and San
Francisco. Uber previously tested vehicles in those markets, as well
as Tempe, Ariz., where one of the vehicles killed
a pedestrian in March, prompting the tests' suspension.
