Former Carey International president Don Dailey died on Oct. 13 at the age of 81. Dailey founded chauffeured transportation provider National Executive Services in 1966 and merged his company with Carey International Chauffeur Services in 1969, after which he conceptualized and grew Carey's franchise network and led its global growth and development. He also helped create one of the first online reservations systems for the chauffeured transportation industry, in the 1990s. In addition, he made Carey the first publicly traded chauffeured transportation company.
