The U.S. Transportation Security Administration has launched a pilot program at Boston Logan International Airport for remote security screenings, the agency announced Wednesday.
Passengers flying out of Boston on JetBlue or Delta Air Lines on departures between 5:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Eastern time now can opt to park at a remote terminal in Framingham, Mass., check in, proceed through security and take a bus directly to the secure side of the appropriate terminal at Logan, according to TSA.
The pilot program is in partnership with the Massachusetts Port Authority. Tickets for the Framingham remote screening option cost $9 and are available at the MassPort website. Parking at Framingham is $7 per day, according to TSA.
