KLM and Royal Air Maroc have separately announced plans to deploy Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi in 2027.
KLM plans to install Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi on its intercontinental flights, with a phased rollout beginning in mid-2027.
The service will be available in all cabin classes and will be free for members of the carrier's Flying Blue loyalty program. The move follows the introduction of Starlink Wi-Fi on KLM’s European flights at the beginning of this year.
Meanwhile, Royal Air Maroc has selected Starlink for high-speed Wi-Fi, the companies announced on X this week. The service will become available in 2027.
The carrier will install the service on 41 aircraft, and it will be free for Safar Flyer loyalty members, according to a Business Insider Africa report.
Royal Air Maroc claims it will be the first African carrier to offer Starlink onboard.
