Private air and charter company Wheels Up has shuffled its executive leadership team with new appointments and announced the departure of Dave Harvey as chief commercial officer, a little more than a year after he joined the company.
Harvey will step down from his role June 19 and will continue as an advisor to the company through August. Prior to joining Wheels Up, Harvey headed Southwest Airlines' sales, also overseeing Southwest Business.
"We are grateful to Dave for his significant contributions in shaping and executing our commercial strategy, and we thank him for his leadership during a pivotal phase of our transformation," Wheels Up CEO Geroge Mattson said in a Tuesday statement.
Additional executive moves include the appointment of Mark Briffa, currently EVP of charter and CEO of Air Partner, which Wheels Up purchased in 2022, as chief sales officer, "unifying global sales across our membership and charter offerings under one leader," according to Wheels Up.
Former EVP of enterprise planning and strategy Meaghan Wells, who joined the company in November 2024, now is chief growth officer, a newly created position. In her new role, the company said Wells is responsible for "revenue management, product strategy and competitive analysis, while continuing to lead the company's fleet and corporate strategy, partnerships and enterprise planning efforts."
In addition, chief marketing officer Kristen Lauria now has an expanded role that includes customer experience in addition to marketing and communications.
