WestJet is refunding all passengers who had tickets on canceled WestJet and Swoop flights dating back to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic in March, the carrier announced.
On Nov. 2, the carrier will begin contacting eligible guests, proceeding chronologically with passengers affected early in the pandemic first, and WestJet estimates it will take six to nine months to work through all passengers. Refunds will go to the original form of payment.
WestJet is asking eligible passengers to wait until they are contacted so as not to overload the carrier's call center.
