Private aviation supplier VistaJet is working with governments around the world to help move travelers stranded by Covid-19 restrictions.
The company is offering governments and consulates free access to empty-leg flights for repatriation needs and also is helping with related permits and paperwork, according to VistaJet. In addition, VistaJet is working with health organizations to provide free empty-leg flights for medical experts fighting the pandemic and is in talks to help transport key medical supplies.
"This is an unusual time and one that we must all work together where possible to do whatever we can to help," VistaJet founder and chairman Thomas Flohr said in a statement. "We know we don’t normally offer repatriation flights or the transportation of medical equipment, but ultimately, we are a logistics company and we are here to help the global community as much as we can. We are in this fight together.”
For its customers, VistaJet has added a "dynamic jet lease" option, in which they can have a dedicated aircraft and crew positioned near them for a one-, two- or three-month period.
