United SVP of worldwide sales Dave Hilfman has announced he
will retire at the end of the year. Hilfman has led sales, including United's
relationships with corporate buyers, at the carrier since its merger with
Continental Airlines, where he had led the sales team. Hilfman has spent more
than 30 years in the industry, beginning as a sales rep for Eastern Airlines in
the early 1980s.
