United has placed orders for 25 Embraer E-175 aircraft and four Boeing 787-9 aircraft to be delivered over the next two years. The E-175 aircraft will replace Bombardier CRJ-700 aircraft that United Express partners are using, and the 787-9 will be outfitted with United's Polaris business class product as part of the carrier's widebody replacement plans.
