Flight-rebooking app Freebird has signed reseller agreements
with five travel management companies:
- Altour
- Options Travel
- Safe Harbors Business Travel
- Short's Travel Management
- Travel and Transport
It also has signed a reseller agreement with Jay Walker's latest startup, Upside, which helps small and midsize companies reward travelers for money-saving decisions. Freebird, which helps travelers rebook quickly in the event of delayed flights,
cancellations and missed connections, already counted Casto Travel and Flight
Centre Travel Group as TMC resellers. The seven TMCs and Upside represent more than $6
billion of annual corporate travel spend, according to Freebird. The company also
announced $5 million in funding led by venture capital firms General Catalyst
and Accomplice, bringing the total funding it has brought in to $8.5 million.
